Studies Grant
The French Ministry of Culture awards higher education grants to students meeting various social criteria in the light of their parents’ income and expenditure on the basis of a national scale set annually and of university criteria governing the pursuit of their studies. Grants are awarded for one university year and must be reapplied for annually. The appropriate documentation and information is sent to all newly eligible students as soon as the entrance exam results are known. (Do not apply to the CROUS for a grant.) Grant-aided students are only exempt from social security contributions. Students with particular problems may be eligible for specific study and/or additional grants.
