As a university-level art school, the School first and foremost serves the area in which it is situated, the Lorraine Region and Eastern France.

Its impact obviously goes far beyond these areas inasmuch as it plays an active role in France as a whole and in Europe.

In particular the School sets up partnerships for specific operations that both elucidate and enhance the further development of its educational program.
